- one party at a time! Dunesday, set in a bustling Jersey shore town on the 3rd Saturday in July, features live music from noon to 2am the next morning with only notable acts in attendance. Besides being headlined by Brian Kirk & the Jirks, Dunesday has even been graced by performances and/or presences of Bruce Springsteen, Colin Hay and Lazlo Bane. More simply put- Dunesday is a fundraising event raising money for NJ families and communities in need. But Dunesday has evolved into more than just some fundraising event. It’s become a sort of holiday, where people greet each other with “Happy Dunesday!” Unlike other fundraising events, Dunesday doesn’t raise money for the norm- funds raised this year aid a New Jersey family whose eleven year old son is afflicted with cerebral palsy, and Make Some Noise for Kids Cancer Foundation who raise money for pediatric cancer. These are just two examples of the countless families and communities touched by Dunesday’s summer glow. So witness what the Jersey Shore is really all about- unity and love.
